Creative Little Minds...

Every once in a while, the hubs and I will tell the girls that we want to sleep in a bit on a Saturday morning (when we aren't running around from game to game) and we ask them to play quietly when they wake up.

The quiet part doesn't always work out but they do get up and play nicely with each other without coming to our bedside saying, "I'm bored. What can I do?!"

Ash & Bean love their toys and for the most part they are very good at taking care of them and putting them away (after several reminders and sometimes a bit of yelling). So, when they do have these rare Saturday mornings, they take full advantage and get really creative with their playtime.

A couple weeks ago, I walked into Ash's room and it looked like a bomb went off and Littlest Pet Shop toys and Webkinz key chains exploded from it. Before I could even say anything, I noticed string tied and taped from the lamp and taped to the dresser and Ash's hamper. I walked over to check it out a little closer and both of the girls at the same time said, "We made a zip line. Jinx! You owe me a soda!". So, I asked them to show it to me...

After seeing the way they used their creative little minds to build such a fun thing for not only their toys but for themselves, I got over the bomb going off in Ash's room pretty quickly. I even sent them downstairs for breakfast without telling them to clean up first. I wanted to make sure that Chris had time to come in and see what creative little minds our girls had.

We both cracked up when he said, "I wonder what else they would come up with if we gave them more than an hour?!"
