Top Trends of 2011 That I Want Erased From my Memory...

The year of 2011 was full of wonderful memories with family and friends but I wish I could erase a few trends from 2011 to make sure that there is plenty of room for the more important things I want to remember.

Those 2011 Trends would consist of:

1. Anything to do with The Kardashians. I don't watch any of their shows, listen to any of their interviews on the radio or buy magazines with any of them on the cover but they have still somehow invaded my brain. Why would we do anything to support people who behave like this?! Those children (yes, some of them are adults but they still act like children) behave the exact opposite of how I teach my girls to behave and to think that they are making tons of money off of that very same behavior makes me sick!

2. Those flannel pajama bottoms with Ugg boots. I'm sorry but this does not look cute on college girls, high school girls, teens, tweens and/or toddlers. I love pajamas as much as the next girl but seriously, you couldn't at least throw on a pair of sweats or jeans?! I mean really, you are out of your house.

3. Speaking of bottoms...I don't want to see yours! Pull up your pants! This trend of pants hanging low has been sticking around long enough. I don't even understand how they stay where they are. Do people staple them into their legs?! It is time to send this trend packing!

4. Cupcakes. They are EVERYWHERE! They are DELICIOUS! They are WAY TOO TEMPTING! Will someone please make carrot sticks a trend in 2012 please?!

5. Low carb beer. YUCK! Need I say more?!

What trend are you hoping will stay back in 2011 where it belongs?

Too funny. I wonder when it became acceptable to wear pajama bottoms out in public like that. My TweenStar says some girls wear them to school everyday. Though she wears them around the house all the time and will occasionaly wear them to the grocery store she would never wear them to school!

Those really sparkly, glittery Ugg type of boots paired with shorts! Seriously?? I see it on the elementary school girls not sure who else is doing it but I want it to stop!

Hhaah I agree with you on all of them but cupcakes. They can stay.

I agree with all of them especially number one. The Kardashians make me want to cut somebody!

I know, right? Celeb gossip is out of control and even disgusting at times.

I'm so sick of the Kreepies and their dramas. Why are they bigger news than what is happening right here- like our homeless issue, for one.

But I digress-
LEAVE THE CUPCAKES:)

Nice to meet you- blog hopping and making new friends today.

Ugh, the Kardashians make me sick! I can't stand people being famous for absolutely no reason...big butts?

The nice thing is that people are making cupcakes WAY to pretty to eat...it makes it easier to just. say. no.

I never watched the Kardashians, either. They can go away!

I would love if the Kardashians would go away. I don't get their whole point?

Great list! I agree 100% about the Kardashians I hope we see a whole lot less of them in 2012

Oy! The Kardashians are just awful, and you are right on with raising kids on how exactly NOT to behave....They may be making big bucks for what..they are a joke and mockery. Barbara Walters had put it perfectly when she interviewed them a week or so back basically telling them they really are talentless...... but how about overtired moms at the bus stop with sweats/and ugg boots? :) because I may disappoint a few of my moms on that one :)

You know, I never in a million years thought those low riding pants would still be around after all these years. I simply can't figure that out!

The Kardashian train can't go on forever, right? Let's hope!

Yes on the cupcakes, but I have a bad feeling the next trend will be pie or something like that.

I love my pajama bottoms but, I would feel funny wearing them outside the house.

Have to agree with you on the Kardashians - it took me forever to figure out what people were even talking about, and then I was like, "Who cares?" I also have to agree with p.j.'s outside the home - well, okay, I think I've worn them next door to my MIL's house once or twice... But that's pretty much still home!

Giggling at carrot sticks as the trend for 2012. Yes please!

I wish the Mothership would come collect the Kardashians already. It's time for them to return to their own planet.

Oh, Cupcakes! And I also refuse to watch anything with that family (can't even say their name). Why they're even on TV or magazine covers, I'll never understand.

It amazes me that "everyone" thinks the Kardashians need to go away but they remain in the news and on TV. I'm pretty much done w/all reality TV (except Hoarders! Please don't turn off Hoarders!). The pajama bottoms I don't get. They're sleepwear. Not outside of the house wear. Wear them all day inside your house if you want, but I don't need to see you in the mall in penguin pants.

As for low pants, my SIL came upon my nephew waiting for the school bus. She went behind him and yanked down his already sagging jeans. She said he was half assing (pun intended) and no kid of hers is gonna go through life doing things halfway. Then she handed him his belt and drove away.

I like this post, Kristen.

I agree with all of them. It's funny about the cupcakes. Shops are popping up everywhere.

I agree with you on the Kardashians. Be famous because you make movies, act or whatever....not because we watch your life. Stupid, Stupid.

Well done! This made me laugh. Whoever makes carrot sticks the new trend will have my life long respect!

While I agree with you, I can't help but be a Kardashian and cupcake junkie. And sometimes, I'm a junkie for them at the SAME time. I need willpower.
